No, at present, accounts domiciled in Gibraltar, Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are ineligible, as Open Banking services are not available in these locations.
Why?
These territories have a self-governing jurisdiction that is part of the British Crown but enjoy separate autonomy for the financial and banking sector.
Will this change in the future?
Over the coming few years, we expect to see quick uptake of open banking approaches and models in new territories as the awareness of the benefits it could bring consumers, banks, and small to medium enterprises increases.
