TrueLayer follows a three-stage process when integrating with banks.
When new banks are added, they are initially released in private_beta. They then move to public_beta, and finally reach live (general_availability) once specific testing criteria are met at each beta stage. Below is a table outlining the key features of each release stage:
Stage |
Features |
Live Banks Stable and fully ready for use |
Available by default for your app. Have been tested with Live traffic. Information is publicly available in our API documentation. Internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues. |
Public Beta Banks Tested and are fairly stable |
Available by default for your app. Have been tested with Live traffic. Two-month notice period for breaking changes. Information is publicly available in our API documentation. Internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues. |
Private Beta Banks Have working integrations |
Not available by default and access must be requested for these providers to be enabled for your app. Have been tested with some Live traffic and tests are still ongoing. Two-week notice period for breaking changes and changes can happen frequently. No information is publicly available in our API documentation. No internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues. An important potential limitation is that some banks do not return an executed status. |
If you are a client of TrueLayer we recommend to view this page Supported Providers to find more details about providers. You need to be logged into your Console account to access this page.
If you would like to request certain banking providers to be added, beyond those which TrueLayer is already integrated with, please fill in the form: Bank coverage request form.
We can't make any guarantees on integrations, but your feedback will form an important part of our prioritisation.
