Yes, TrueLayer’s Payments plugin supports refunds for the ecommerce platforms we support [link to which ecommerce platforms TrueLayer supports]. Below, outlines how to issue a refund using TrueLayer’s Payments plugin for your store.
Note: TrueLayer only supports refunds on purchases originally made using TrueLayer as the payment method.
WooCommerce
To issue a refund, follow the steps outlined below:
- In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce → Orders
- Click on the individual order where TrueLayer was used as the original payment method
- Click “Refund” below the item
- If the order is a partial refund, either update the “Refund amount” manually or update the quantity of the relevant item(s) being refunded, which will update the refund amount automatically.
- Click “Refund via TrueLayer” to process the refund
- If you are refunding a whole order, you can either enter the full refund amount manually or update the quantity of the relevant item(s) being refunded, which will update the refund amount automatically.
- Click “Refund via TrueLayer” to process the refund
- You will be updated with the refund status in the “Order Notes” next to the individual order
Magento
To issue a refund follow the steps outlined below:
- Log into Magento Admin
- Go to: Sales → Orders
- Click on the individual order you wish to refund
- Go to Invoices → View Invoice → Credit Memo
- If you are refunding a whole order, simply click “Refund” in the bottom right of the page
- If you are issuing a partial refund, update the quantity you wish to refund, adjust any additional totals if needed, and click refund
