[Natwest] Does Natwest Group support MFA (multi-factor authentication) for VRP? – Help Centre

Yes for Ulster and RBS: face ID authentication is enabled for both iOS and Android devices
Natwest is coming soon

Caveat 1- MFA only works for customers who have it enabled for payment consent in their mobile banking application.

If the end user does not have it enabled, they would have to:

Leave the VRP mandate set-up journey
Go to their mobile banking app
Enable MFA for payments
Navigate back to the VRP mandate set-up page.

At present, automatic redirect is only available to card reader.

Caveat 2 - If the user is using an Android device, MFA is only available to users who have updated to the latest version of their online banking app.

note: this is only relevant for end users that have MFA enabled
