What is Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS)?

PSD2 empowered the European Commission (“EC”) to adopt Regulatory Technical Standards (“RTS”) that focus on security measures. Primarily these are there to fulfil two key objectives that the PSD2 set out to do; ensuring consumer protection and enhancing competition in a rapidly changing market environment.
