    What is the difference between Beta and Live Banks/Providers?

    TrueLayer has 3 different stages for all the banks we support. When new banks become available, they will first be released in private_beta , progress through to public_beta and finally,  Live (general_availability) as certain criteria are met during testing at each of the Beta stages.
    As such, each stage will have different implications. Please see the table below for the key features for each release stage:

    Live Banks
    (general_availability) are stable and fully ready for use.
    Available by default for your client_id.
    Have been tested with Live traffic.

     

    No breaking changes.

     

    Information is publicly available in our API documentation.

     

    Internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues.

    Public Beta Banks
    (public_beta) have been tested and are fairly stable.
    Available by default for your client_id.
    Have been tested with Live traffic.


    Two-month notice period for breaking changes.

     

    Information is publicly available in our API documentation.

     

    Internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues.

    Private Beta Banks
    (private_beta)     have working integrations that have passed our criteria. However, they have not been tested fully and there may be some limitations.

    NB: an important potential limitation is that some banks do not return an executed status (this is indicated for the applicable banks in the providers list under "Final payment status").

    Not available by default and access must be requested for these providers to be enabled for your client_id.

     

    Have been tested with some Live traffic and tests are still ongoing.

     

    Two-week notice period for breaking changes and changes can happen frequently.

    No information is publicly available in our API documentation.

     

    No internal SLAs for resolving TrueLayer related issues.
