How long will payments take to settle?

Payments made via the TrueLayer payments API will settle at the same rate as Faster Payments made directly from the Bank Account. 

Once authorised by the Payment Service User, the bank should execute the payment immediately if the funds are available, in some cases this can take up to 2 hours. The Payments Services Directive states that any payments made on the Faster Payments scheme must arrive by the end of the following business day at the latest. Each bank is responsible for registering faster payments, contact your bank if a payment is taking an unusually long time to clear.
